WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION INCLUDING LEARNING OBJECTIVES
During this two-hour workshop, you will have the opportunity to create a half wreath adorned with preserved hydrangeas, dried baby's breath, and other dried flowers. You will be presented with two options: a vibrant rainbow wreath featuring colorful hydrangeas on a gold wreath ring, or a more natural wreath showcasing white hydrangeas on a grapevine wreath (please refer to the provided sample photos). Throughout the workshop, you will receive detailed guidance, ensuring you are guided step by step. Additionally, you will have the freedom to select dried flowers according to your preferences, allowing you to personalize and create a unique wreath of your own.
These flowers are not artificial; rather, they are preserved and dried, ensuring their longevity if cared for properly.
This is a kid-friendly course! Kids under 10 years old can also participate with adult supervision.
この2時間のワークショップでは、プリザーブドの紫陽花、ドライかすみ草、その他のドライフラワーを使用してハーフリースを作ります。オプションは２つあります：ゴールドのリースリングにカラフルな紫陽花を使った鮮やかな虹色のリース、またはグレープバインのリースに白い紫陽花を使用した、よりナチュラルなリース、この２種類から選べるようになっております。（サンプル写真を参照してください）インストラクターが一つ一つの工程を丁寧に説明しながらワークショップは進んでいくので、初心者の方でもどなたでも安心して参加できます。さらに、ご自分の好みに応じてドライフラワーを選ぶ事ができますので、独自のリースをパーソナライズして作成することができます。
これらの花は人工的ではなく、保存および乾燥がなされており、適切にお手入れすれば長期間楽しむことができます。
お子様の参加も歓迎です！ただ１０歳以下のお子様は大人の方と一緒に参加される事をお勧めします。皆様のご参加お待ちしております！
WORKSHOP FACILITATOR DETAILS
Instructor: Hijiri Shepherd
Hijiri owns and designs at Heartfish Press (http://www.heartfishpress.com), a studio located in Brooklyn, NY, specializing in letterpress printing and floral design. The studio offers a variety of letterpress prints, cards, and custom design services that involve creating floral designs using dried flowers.
Hijiri studied graphic design in Tokyo and pursued art direction at a university in San Francisco. After completing her studies, she worked as an art director at an advertising agency. In 2008, she moved to New York City and started working as a freelance designer. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for letterpress printing and the joy of crafting handmade items, which motivated her to establish her own business. Recently, Hijiri has been devoting a lot of her creative energy to exploring the art of dried flower arrangement, and she has developed a deep love for this craft along the way.
